My wings may be broken.
They may be tied and bound.
But I still fly others away,
From hitting the ground.
I can still lift them up,
With a single beat.
Then gently set them,
Back on their feet.
So in short, I promise;
To save you from the ground.
From hitting it when you fall.
I will always be around.
This is a poem deticated to 'Junior.' There is a little something that some people know and others know the theory. There's a difference from standing on the edge, slipping, hanging, and falling.
Being on the edge is how everyone will be through their entire life. If your not on the edge...your life isnt being fulfilled and honestly you are taking up too much space. *laughs*
Slipping is when the world below you is crumbling and you know you're going to fall soon. But for some reason...you can always run away from that crumbling edge and save yourself. But as it happens, when that edge falls away and your standing just feet from it, the edge comes closer to your feet. You are always on the edge. Even if you save yourself from falling, your safe spot then becomes the new edge, waiting to crumble.
Hanging is the most stressful point. You are either hanging from your fingertips onto the ledge or by a thread. It means that you slipped but you are not falling yet. This is the point where your angels wait to catch you. They circle below you but they dont save you from that position. Their job isnt to put you on your feet in safty but simply to be ready to catch you when you either let go or if you slip all the way.
Falling is the dangerous and tricky spot. You are airborne in life. There's nothing to hold you. But in most cases you arent falling for very long. Your angel catches you and next thing you know you are standing, or laying; however you look at it; on the new level of ground. Most people see it as they hit the ground and hard. That is where they tend to give up and continue to lay on the ground. Little do they know, their angel actually carried them down rather then let them smack hard. Depending the weight of the problem and other problems on top of that, is the speed and impact at which your angel flies down. The heavier it is, the harder your feet touch down. The lesser amount of weight is a lighter touch down. This is where people think they have hit hard. But that isn't true. You dont actually hit the ground. The angel takes worst of the impact for you but you still may have sore feet. It is their job. It is what they do.
So to this friend of mine whom this is deticated to...as I said in the poem...my wings may be bound and broken so I cant fly myself, I can carry other somehow. I always have. I can carry anyones weight. No matter how heavy. I cant stop you from slipping or hanging which you are currently doing now. But I promise...you wont hit too hard. You will have a couple bumps and bruises if you touch ground no doubt, but you will walk again. You're safe enough. Dont give up. Trust me...the fight is worth it, its why you keep fighting. If it wasnt worth it you would have let go or the thread would have snapped and you would have started on new ground. Dont give up and/or doubt him. He's still there. And maybe...just maybe...he's waiting for you to fall. He may be the one to catch you if you let him know you've fallen. If not...then I'll catch you. I promise. Love you chica.
For all the others...this is for you too. From the outside it may look like I cant even carry myself off the ground. But I've been flying others for far too long. It's become habit. And I've never let anyone hit too hard. I can be your angel. All you have to do is ask. Love you all.
